This document is called the Cookie Policy and sets out the rules for the use by Emplo Ltd. with its registered office in Warsaw (referred to as “Emplo“, “we“, “our“) of cookies and other similar technologies on services for employers and employees, including emplo.pl, akademia.emplo.pl, and on the Emplo platform (referred to as “Services“).

 1. WHAT DO COOKIES MEAN?

Cookies are text files stored by the web browser on the hard drive of your computer or other device to store information for your identification or to remember the history of actions taken by you on the Services.

In addition to cookies, we also use other similar technologies such as: Fingerprinting, Device Recognition, Mobile In-App Tracking. To ensure transparency of information contained in the Cookie Policy, all of the above-mentioned technologies will be referred to as cookies.

2. WHAT TYPES OF COOKIES DO WE USE?

We use cookies that differ from each other in terms of their life cycle and the internet domain they come from.

Due to the life cycle, we divide cookies into:

  • session – deleted when the web browser is closed,
  • persistent – deleted after a predetermined time, regardless of closing the web browser.

Due to the internet domain they come from, cookies are divided into:

  • first-party – set by the web servers of our Services,
  • third-party – set by web servers of other sites than our Services.

3. FOR WHAT PURPOSES DO WE USE COOKIES?

Providing services requested by you (necessary cookies)

We use our own cookies to access content intended only for authorized users of the Services and to enable you to navigate smoothly on the pages and subpages of the Services without having to authenticate each time.

Increasing the convenience of using our Services and services (necessary and analytical cookies)

We use third-party cookies (e.g. Google Analytics, Google Optimize, Google Tag Manager, HotJar) to, for example, count visits to the Services, their duration, and determine which functionalities of the Service or its parts were most commonly used or visited and how they were used by individual users. Our cookies and cookies from third-party providers (e.g. Google Adwords, Facebook Pixel) are used to conduct marketing campaigns and remarketing campaigns reaching you with our marketing messages if you have previously visited our Services. 4. HOW TO MANAGE COOKIES?

In the browser menu bar under the ‘Help’ section, you can find information on how to reject saving new cookies, delete previously saved cookies, request notification of a new cookie being saved, and block the operation of cookies.
